Фонд «Православный Крым» при меценатской поддержке украинского Проминвестбанка организовал крестный ход в формате мотопробега, соединивший Севастополь, Москву и Волгоград.
2013-й – год семидесятилетия победы братских народов в одном из крупнейших сражений ХХ века, Сталинградской битве. Во имя сохранения памяти о подвиге защитников Родины и в назидание современной молодёжи фондом «Православный Крым» реализуется гуманитарный проект, объединяющий два города-героя, символы воинской славы, Севастополь и Волгоград (Сталинград). 20-24 августа 2013 года состоится главное мероприятие проекта. В эти дни пройдёт масштабный крестный ход Севастополь-Волгоград/Москва-Волгоград.
«Задумывая это мероприятие, мы искали форму, которая позволила бы привлечь внимание молодёжи к важности сохранения исторической памяти и поддержания неразрывной связи между поколениями. Появление административных границ не должно разделять историческую память большого народа на «до» и «после». Это наше общее прошлое, память о подвиге отцов и дедов, пример настоящего патриотизма и самопожертвования для сегодняшних жителей наших стран и будущих поколений, – говорит Владимир Калугин, президент фонда «Православный Крым». – Мы объединили в единое целое города-герои Севастополь и Волгоград, братство мотоциклистов «Ночные волки» и символы православной веры, передаваемые в знак братского единства от Севастополя Волгограду. Это сложный проект, объединивший массу людей, и мы благодарны всем откликнувшимся на наш призыв. Отдельно хочу поблагодарить ПАО «Проминвестбанк». Меценатская поддержка украинских банкиров позволила проекту состояться».
Специально для мотокрестного хода изготовлены в Киево-Печерской лавре и освящены в Свято-Владимирском соборе (Херсонес) аналойные иконы Казанской Божией Матери, равноапостольного великого князя Владимира, благоверного князя Александра Невского и праведного воина Фёдора Санаксарского (Ушакова).
